Detroit's loss is Maruti's gain as it picks engineers for its R&D pool

According to reports in the media, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is in the process of hiring expat engineers from Europe, Japan and US, which will help it to roll out global compact cars in the next few years.
It may be recalled that MSIL had participated at Society of Auto Engineers (SAE), 2009 World Congress Career Fare in Detroit on April 20-21, 2009 from where it has reportedly added 10 people on its rolls, as claimed by Business Standard. The , adding that the company is recruiting for specific high-tech fields like engine, transmission, body electricals, car designing , automotive styling, powertrain (engines & gears) development, modeling, structural bodywork, product planning, brakes, suspension, safety & crash, interiors, BIW (body in white exterior), as quoted by the spokesperson.
