Indian Oil ranks 105 in Fortune Global 500 list

In a befitting acknowledgement of its ever-improving performance, and a crowning glory in its Golden Jubilee Year (1959-2009), Indian Oil Corporation has moved up 11 places, in the just-released Fortune 'Global 500' list of world's largest companies by sales for the year 2009.

L&T to exit fuel dispenser biz, Gilbarco Veeder-Root likley to buy it

In its bid to dispose of its non-core business operations, India’s largest engineering firm, Larsen And Toubro Ltd. (L&T) is in the process of selling its fuel dispenser business (which rolls out meter reading machines at fuel stations) to the world’s leading producer of gas pumps and other fuel industry hardware along with point of sale systems to Gilbarco Veeder-Root, for approximately US$ 50 million, reports Live Mint exclusively.
