Jaguar to cease production of its compact executive car - X-TYPE at its Halewood plant

According to a statement issued by Jaguar, it has decided to cease production of its X-Type vehicle at the Halewood Plant on Merseyside at year end with the loss of up to 300 further jobs by voluntary means at the plant.

Pantnagar plant despatches first 50 Tata Nano car units for Hyderabad

There are reports that the first batch of Tata Nano cars - some 50 units have been transported from Haldi Road Railway Station near Pantnagar where it is being presently manufactured. The first consignment is destined for Hyderabad. Railway sources have revealed to PTI that the railways has earned revenues of Rs. 871,145 from the loading of first consignment of Nano.

German luxury high-performance manufacturer, Porsche is all set to introduce globally the hybrid version of its mid-size luxury sport utility vehicle-Cayenne-by 2010. At the IAA 2005, Porsche announced it will produce a hybrid version of the Cayenne before 2010.

Pawan Ruia interested to buy out Tyre Corporation
