Gulf Oil rolls out 8th Gulf Foster a Child Car Drive
Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd., a Hinduja Group company, has today concluded the eighth year of their social initiative ‘Gulf Foster a Child Car Drive’. Mumbai Police Commissioner, Shivanandan flagged off the drive from Police Ground, Worli and ‘Teen Patti’ stars - Dhruv Ganesh, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhartha Kher & Vaibhav Talwar spent some memorable time with the kids at the finishing point in Acres club, Chembur. The winners were announced by the movie debutants and the lucky winners of the ‘Gulf Foster a Child Car Drive’ gets a chance to meet the stars of the movie ‘Teen Patti’.The winners of ‘Gulf Foster Child Car Drive 2010’ who will get a chance to meet the legend, Amitabh Bacchan are Geeta Castelino, Alpa Patel, Ajay Arun Sawant and Gilchrist Gonsalves.

Maruti Suzuki presents Young Drivers 2010
In a recently published Global Status Report on Road Safety, the World Health Organization has revealed that more people die in road accidents in India than anywhere else in the world, including the more populous China. Driver education, stricter law enforcement and better infrastructure are the need of the hour. Maruti Suzuki and Autocar India have joined hands to do their bit to make Indian roads a safer place by instituting the Maruti Suzuki - Autocar Young Driver 2010 programme.

Tata Aria Crossover to hit showrooms by second half of 2010
The Tata Aria Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV), which would be only crossover in India to come with four-wheel drive, is expected to be available in the country by second quarter of this calender year. Speculated to be priced Rs 12.5- 14.5 lakh, Tata Aria blends the functionality and comfort of a mid-range MPV with the all-terrain assurance and capability of an SUV. Its 2.2-litre direct injection common-rail (DICOR) diesel engine delivers 139 horsepower and 320Nm of torque, and 4WD is available as an option. The top-end variant will have all-wheel drive and compete against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva and Ford Endeavour. However, the company is company is yet to take a call whether to get the all wheel top-variant or two-wheel drive car in the market first.
