Indraprastha Gas to invest Rs. 800 crore to ramp up its gas stations in NCR

Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), the leading automotive and domestic gas retailer, has firmed up its plans to invest Rs. 800 crore to ramp up its gas stations from 171 currently to around 240 in the national Capital Region (NCR) by October 2010, just before the commencement of the commonwealth games.IGL has already been allotted land for 18 outlets and more are in the process of being allotted. Furthermore, the state-owned company will also be pumping in another Rs. 800 crore towards expansion of the PNG network in Delhi and the national capital regions of Noida and Greater Noida. The PNG network, which currently covers 140,000 households in Delhi and the NCR, will see another 50,000 connections in the current fiscal.
