Even after disengaging with Hero Motors from the commercial vehicle joint venture, the Indian arm of German commercial vehiclemaker - Daimler AG has categorically stated that it would continue to pursue its plans to make trucks and buses in India on its own.

Bavina Cars to outsource 80 per cent components for its proposed plug-in hybrid car

Chennai-based Bavina Cars India Limited (BCIL), which has recently received the allotment letter for its battery-powered car plant in Ranipet industrial area in Tamil Nadu, will now be outsourcing 80 per cent of its components for its proposed plug-in series hybrid passenger car.
