According to reports in the media, the Calcutta-based Ruia Group, owners of Dunlop India and Falcon Tyres, is negotiating for acquisition of the ailing Union Government undertaking, Tyre Corporation of India Limited (TCIL), which has a tyre manufacturing facility at Kankinada in West Bengal.
