According to the figures released by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the cumulative production data for April-May 2009 shows production growth of 8.28 percent over April – May 2008. In May 2009, overall production grew by 6.53 per cent over the same month last year. In April 2009, production grew at 10.19 per cent.
